April 21, 2017

DENTON – North Texas men’s basketball head coach Grant McCasland has signed junior college guard Jorden Duffy to the 2017-18 recruiting class.

Jorden Duffy
Duffy led San Jacinto College in scoring at 19.4 points per game this past season, 35th nationally, and a quarterfinal appearance in the NJCAA Tournament. Duffy helped the Ravens to a 33-2 overall record and was named third team NJCAA All-America. As a sophomore, Duffy earned first team All-Region honors and led the team with 90 three-pointers. Duffy also led the team in assists at 4.8 per game and a 164 total in 34 games played.

McCasland on Duffy: “We are really excited to add Jorden to the Mean Green Basketball family. He has a natural ability to score the ball and is comfortable doing so at all three levels. As impressive as his scoring ability is, he also is a gifted passer who can make his teammates better. He was a huge part of a team that was 33-2 and understands what it takes to win at a high level.”
