Lawson, the reigning C-USA Freshman of the Week, went 10-of-15 from the field and pulled down seven rebounds. Classmate Ryan Woolridge added a career-high 21 points and was 5-for-6 from the 3-point line.

Lawson leads North Texas in scoring at 11.1 points per game and is the top scoring freshman in the C-USA (244 points). Senior guard J-Mychal Reese is third on the team in scoring at 9.8 points per game and leads the team in assists (3.5 per game). Woolridge is fourth in scoring at 8.9 points per game in 13 games played.
