DENTON – The North Texas men’s basketball team returns home for a three-game home stand starting with a rematch against Charlotte on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. inside the Super Pit.

The Mean Green (6-13, 0-7 C-USA) were only down three at halftime against Louisiana Tech but a second half run proved to be the difference in a 81-57 loss. The Bulldogs outscored the Mean Green 48-27 in the second half. Junior forward Shane Temara started for the second-straight game and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard Ja’Michael Brown led the team with 11 points off 4-of-7 shooting in 30 minutes.

North Texas will be participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers week from Jan. 23-29, 2017. The initiative is a nationwide event that unites coaches across the country to raise awareness about the American Cancer Society's lifesaving mission, and promote the American Cancer Society as a place for help and support. While coaching games during the week, coaches wear sneakers with their game attire as a visible reminder about the importance of nutrition and physical activity in reducing cancer risk. Help saves lives and support Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers week.
