Track Brings the Heat in El Paso

EL PASO--North Texas track and field has completed the second day of the 2015 C-USA Championships. In the men's 10,000-meter run, Mike Lowe placed seventh (33.27.55), Cody Campbell (34:05.55) and Grady Frazier (34:05.59) finished 11th and 12th, respectively. Andrew Smith placed 11th in the men's hammer throw with a 49.69m throw. Riley Donovan (43.75m) and Kevone Kennedy (43.25m) placed 13th and 14th.

On the women's side, Shauna Pali placed 10th in the women's 10K with a time of 40:39.71. Deja McKnight placed sixth in the women's hammer throw with a 51.02m throw. Ngozi Nweke, with a 44.52m throw, finished in 18th place.

Thursday, North Texas had their end-of-year banquet on Thursday night, and were able to celebrate a successful year, including celebrating the men's cross-country team's fall C-USA Championship win.
