DENTON, Texas - North Texas track & field heads to the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational Saturday at Maverick Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The Mean Green is coming off a weekend where it hosted two meets and set several conference leading and national top-20 marks.
Alysha Adams will be running the 100-meter hurdles for the third time this season. She currently holds the 11th best time in the nation, sixth in the NCAA West, with a 13.30 and has also won her last two races.
With several athletes already selected to participate in the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, which take place next Wednesday, April 6 thru Saturday, April 9, the Mean Green will rest a number of athletes this weekend.
Senior Jermaine Jamison and freshman Terrance Williams will be among those members of the team taking the weekend off.
Jamison has finished first place in all three events he has participated in this outdoor season, with a top mark of 2.11 meters in the high jump.
Williams currently sits No. 6 in the nation in the long jump and has also yet to finish lower thatn first place in the event this season.
Events for the Bobby Lane Invitational begin at 9 a.m. with the women's pole vault. Running will begin at 1 p.m.
