-- Twenty-five Mean Green athletes will be participating in one of the biggest and most prestigious events in the Southwest when the North Texas track and field teams head to Austin, Texas, to take part in the 83rd
annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays April 1-3.
The Mean Green are coming off two very good meets to start the outdoor season and are looking to make a name for themselves among the nation's top athletes.

Last weekend at the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational, the North Texas women took home the team title with 91 total points, behind great performances by Missy Barnes, Brittany Blaylock, Brittani Simmons and the women's 4 x 100 meter relay, which sits at 4th in the NCAA west.
Barnes was named the Sun Belt Conference's Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her outing.
On the men's side, freshman Justin Anderson has been phenomenal, posting the fastest time in the Sun Belt Conference in the 200 meter dash to go along with the sixth fastest time in the 100 meter dash, two spots behind teammate Keyth Talley.
