DENTON - The North Texas track and field team will take part in the UTA Invitational Saturday, March 26 hosted by the UT Arlington Mavericks.
The UTA Invitational is scheduled to include 17 collegiate programs, including Angelo State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Cameron, Central Arkansas, Dallas Baptist, Louisiana Tech, Midwestern State, North Texas, Northwestern State, Oklahoma, Sioux Falls, SMU, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Tarleton State, Texas Wesleyan and Wylie.
Senior Eddie Wilcox will be competing in the men's high jump and will be looking for his third straight first-place finish. Wilcox took home the title in the men's high jump last weekend at the TCU Invitational.
Senior Chastity Stewart finished third in the women's 100-meter hurdles last weekend and is hoping to improve on her time of 13.45 this weekend.
The meet will start with the women's and men's hammer throw at 3 p.m. Friday, March 25. The field events will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 26 with the women's javelin.
The meet will conclude with the Mean Green running the 4x400 meter relay on the women's and men's side.
