Track Heads to Oklahoma Invitational Saturday

DENTON, Texas - North Texas track & field is set to head to the Oklahoma Invitational for its final tune-up of the 2012 indoor season on Saturday in Norman, Okla.

The Mean Green, coming off a strong performance at the Iowa State Classic, look to make one last push at the Sun Belt Conference Performance List before the 2012 SBC Indoor Championships begin next weekend in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Freshman Jo Adams, who competed in her first collegiate meet last weekend, will be leading the women's side in the mile run.  Adams notched the seventh fastest time in the Sun Belt in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:59.43.

CJ Fowler will take the lead on the men's side, competing in the 60-meter dash for the final time this season.

The Oklahoma Invitational will begin Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with the women's weight throw.  All events will be held at the Mosier Indoor Facility on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.  Live results can be found HERE.
