Talley, Wehr Highlight Final Day In Arkansas

 FAYETEVIILE, Arkansas (1/24/09) Keyth Talley continues to make a big impression early in his career and now he has a school-record to add to his resume. The freshman from Tuscaloosa, Alabama set the new school-record in the men’s 60-meter dash with a time of 6.81 on the final day of the Razorback Invitational.

Talley, who finished fourth overall, beat out Brandon Irabor’s previous record of 6.85 in 2006. Talley also had the third best time in the prelims (8.57).

Junior Jordan Wehr also continued his hot start from Friday by finishing first in the heptathlon pole vault with a height of 16-02.75. That accomplishment, along with his solid marks from day one helped Wehr earn second place overall in the men’s heptathlon with a score of 5094, second to only Phillip Horn of Missouri Southern (5107).

Alysha Adams finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.54) and finished third in the prelims (8.57).

North Texas will be back in action next Saturday, Feb. 07 when they travel to Houston to take part in the Houston Invitational.
