T&F's Wilson Shatters North Texas 10,000m Record

WALNUT, Calif. -The North Texas track and field team started off the 56th Annual Mount SAC Relays with Charlotte Wilson shattering the 10000–meter  run school record at the Hilmer Lodge stadium, in Walnut, Calif.

Wilson placed 14th in the silver elite finals with a time of 35:21.10, this was a personal-best and North Texas record by 59 seconds.

Junior Magdalena Escobar ran in the B final of the women’s 3000m steeplechase and placed 17th with a time of 11:12.45.

On the men’s side James Coleman led the way for the Mean Green in 9:11.22 following was Alejandro Valencia in 9:14.11.

Shauna Pali competed in the women’s 10,000-meter run; her time of 37:18.16 was a personal best. While Cody Campbell was the sole competitor for the North Texas for the men; he ran a time of 32:16.14

Day two of the Mt. SAC Relays will start with running events at 10 a.m. PT and field events will at 10:15 a.m. PT., Saturday April 18.
