Track & Field Concludes Meet At Texas Invitational
James Cole Runs Personal Best Time In 200-Meter Dash
AUSTIN - The North Texas track & field teams concluded the Texas Invitational on Saturday, April 15 held at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Sophomore James Cole finished ninth in the 100-meter dash with a personal-best time of 10.55. Senior Adam Hasan came in 12th with a personal-best time of 10.65.
Senior Jamison Justice came in eighth in the 400-meter dash with a season-best time of 48.10.
Freshman Linnea Larsson-Huusko finished 14th with a personal-best throw of 52.60 meters (172-07 feet) in the hammer throw. Classmate Kristyn Archuleta came in sixth in javelin with a throw of 44.57 meters.
Sophomore Javier Lopez-Ibarra finished fifth in javelin with a throw of 60.04 meters. Freshman Karl Sralla came in 10th with a personal-best throw of 52.41 meters.
Freshman Bailey Ashmore came in eighth in pole vault with a vault of 3.57 meters. Sophomore Blake Skoog was ninth matching Ashmore at 3.57 meters.
Freshman Howard Grant competed in long jump for the first time this outdoor season and finished ninth at 6.86 meters (22-6.25 feet).
-Sophomore Bria Williams finished 21st in the 100-meter dash at 12.04
-Senior Alford Tribble finished 17th in the 100m dash with a season-best time of 10.74
-Cole finished 16th in the 200-meter dash at 21.55
-Senior Susie Kemper finished 20th in the 1500-meter run at 5:00.16
-Freshman Tori Valka came in 21st in the 1500m run at 5:00.69
-4x100-meter relay team (Tribble, Cole, Hasan, Justice) finished sixth at 41.01
-Junior Kevone Kennedy came in 18th in the hammer throw at 52.32 meters
North Texas will compete at the John Jacobs Invitational hosted by Oklahoma on April 21-22.
