The Mean Green Completed Day Two At Texas Relays

The North Texas track and field team completed day two at the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, Friday Mar. 28 at the Mike A. Myers Stadium.
The men’s distance medley relay captured a top-eight finish with a time of 9:56.58, the team of Bryce McAndrew, Connor Bey, Alex Hita and Troy Taylor started the season off strong for the Mean Green distance program.
The Mean Green men’s 4X100 relay consisted of Kedron Swolles, Clinton Collins, Caleb Pryor and Collin Heard who placed 16th with a time of 40.96. In the 1600m relay the team placed 10th just shy of qualifying for the finals.
In the high jump, freshman Elisha Peters finished in the top-three with a season-best jump of 1.75m, tying the highest finish for North Texas at the meet.
The Mean Green started off Texas Relays with a new school from Charlotte whose time of 10:24.53, in the women’s 3000m steeplechase, was a 10 second improvement from her best performance last season.
