North Texas Women Claim UTA Bobby Lane Invite Title
ARLINGTON, Texas - The North Texas women's track and field team claimed the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational overall team title Saturday, finishing with 91 points.
Missy Barnes and Alysha Adams all paced the team with a part in two wins apiece.
Barnes, Brittany Blaylock, Adams and Brittani Simmons all teamed up to post on of the nation's fastest times in the 4 x 100 meter relay when the team posted a time of 44.84 seconds.
Barnes took home the 100-meter dash as well, running it in 11.77 seconds with Blaylock right behind her finishing second in 11.80 seconds.
Adams went on to win the 100-meter hurdles in 13.85 seconds.
On the men's side, Jermaine Jamison claimed second in the high jump, clearing 2.01 meters before failing to clear the next height.
Sophomore Keyth Talley finished his 100-meter dash in 10.52 seconds, which was good enough for fourth.
The men's 4 x 400 meter dash also took second place as the men finished sixth overall with 54 points, 32 point behind Oklahoma.
