NORMAN, Okla. - Mean Green track & field wrapped up the 2012 indoor regular season on Saturday at the Oklahoma Invitational in the Mosier Indoor Facitilty.
Freshman Jo Adams paced North Texas on the day, grabbing a second place finish in the mile run with a time of 5:01.81. That time moved her up to fourth in the Sun Belt Conference in the event, less than a second behind teammate Sara Dietz.
The men's side saw Charleston Lewis haul in another good performance in the weight throw, clearing 16.59 meters with his longest toss and netting a second place finish. Aaron Sirles took fifth with a throw of 15.60 meters.
Junior Steven White also recorded a second place finish himself, crossing the line in 22.16 seconds in the 200 meter dash.
Janesa Moore and Chelsea Hermes also hauled in top-five finishes in the long jump, with Moore taking third with a leap of 5.22 meters and Hermes collecting fifth with a jump of 5.08 meters.
North Texas track & field will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 25 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the Sun Belt Indoor Championships.
