Television/Radio Opportunities

The Mean Green Radio Network covers the DFW Metroplex and is anchored by the 100,000-watt clear channel KNTU 88.1 FM, the network's technical flagship station which orginates from the University of North Texas campus. All football and men's basketball games reach the Mean Green's alumni base throughout north Texas.

KNTU is also the radio home for the women's basketball team and select softball games. In addition, all games are available via www.meangreensports.com.

Veteran sports personality George Dunham, a 1988 North Texas alumnus, has spent the 20-plus years anchoring the network as play-by-play announcer. Dunham is an award-winning morning show host on DFW's top sports talk program, "The Dunham and Miller Show" on Sportsradio 1310 "The Ticket." For the last 14 seasons, Dunham has been paired with Deputy Athletic Director Hank Dickenson, who handles color commentary, on the football broadcasts. Dickenson also travels with the men's basketball team and provides play by play on the road. Steven Bartolotta also works on the network in a number of capacities, including women's basketball play-by-play.

Advertising sales on the MGRN are handled by Dickenson and include 30 second and 60 second in-game inventory as well as segment sponsorships such as "The Bill Utter Pre-Game Show" and "First State Bank Halftime Show." Open/close billboards are associated with all broadcasts. Coaches radio shows are also a part of the seasonal inventory for all MGRN sponsors.

Television inventory on in-house productions such as The Mean Green Insider and game telecasts are also available via Mean Green Sports Properties. For information, contact:
