The North Texas Athletic Hall of Fame is open to former North Texas student-athletes, coaches and administrators who have distinguished themselves in the athletics' arena. Approximately four individuals are inducted into the Hall of Fame yearly, including one person that graduated 30 years or more ago and is named by the Old Timers committee (1992 was the first year for this induction).
Any person can make nominations. All nominations should be made formally through the mail to someone on the North Texas Hall of Fame committee, which is made up of 10 individuals with strong ties to the University of North Texas. Please contact Hank Dickenson, the athletics department representative and member of the Hall of Fame committee, at 940-565-3339 or email@example.com for more information.
The following are basic guidelines for considering a person as an inductee into the North Texas Athletic Hall of Fame:
1. The person should have made an outstanding contribution to North Texas athletics.
2. The inductee should have an honorable and respectable image since leaving the University of North Texas.
3. Candidates are not eligible for induction until at least five years after they left the University of North Texas.
4. A strong consideration will be given those student-athletes who graduated from the University of North Texas.
