Temeka Samuels begins her second season with the North Texas athletics department as the assistant athletics director for ticket operations.
Samuels is responsible for the daily oversight of the Mean Green athletic ticket office, The Aspire Group and the student ticket office staff. She is in charge of season ticket sales, donations and single-game sales for football, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball and volleyball.
Prior to coming to North Texas, Samuels was the director of athletic ticketing and donor management at Southern Illinois. While there, she oversaw game-day ticket operations and sales for football, men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, softball and the 2012 Missouri Valley Softball Conference Tournament.
From 2007-11, Samuels worked at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. as the assistant director of ticket operations. She oversaw the daily operations of the Bradley athletic ticket office and team store, and managed the season ticket sales staff for the women's basketball team and the Bradley season ticket campaign.
She earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan in sports medicine-exercise science in June of 2003. She received her second bachelor's degree in athletic training and marketing from Saginaw Valley State in May 2005 and has a master's degree from Central Michigan in sports administration.
Samuels participated in the NCAA Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males and Females in June of 2010.
