Luke Della is an assistant director at North Texas, and is the primary sport contact for Mean Green women's basketball, soccer and tennis.
Della comes to North Texas from the University of California where he was an intern in the athletic communications office. At Cal, he assisted in the day-to-day and game day media relations of the Golden Bears' football, women's gymnastics and baseball team. He also helped on game days for other sports.
Della assisted in the national promotion of one of the most successful Cal football teams in recent memory that featured eventual 2016 top NFL Draft pick Jared Goff. Furthermore, he helped promote the Bears' 2016 women's gymnastics team, which reached nationals and finished a program best No. 7 in the nation and featured eventual 2016 Summer Olympian Toni-Ann Williams.
Della aided a communication staff that through social media campaigns, media promotion strategies and in depth story telling brought the women's gymnastics brand to a national stage.
In 2016 he was rewarded for his writing with a CoSIDA District 8 feature-writing award. Della is a 2014 graduate from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
