Christopher Evans is starting his fourth year as an assistant director for student services in the North Texas Athletics Department. Evans returns to North Texas after earning his master's degree from UNT in 2011.
At North Texas, he assists with the following sports: men's basketball, women's basketball, and track and field. He also oversees SAAC and Student-Athlete Affairs.
Prior to joining North Texas, Evans worked as an athletic academic counselor for football at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala. from 2011-2013.
As a graduate student at North Texas, he was a graduate assistant for the Academic Success Program for the UNT Learning Center. During that time, he worked in the athletic department as an academic coach, mentoring North Texas student-athletes.He also was an intern in athletic department in administration, academics, and compliance.
Evans received his bachelor's degree from Henderson State, where he was a football student-athlete. He received his master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of North Texas in 2011.
Evans is a member of N4A (National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics) and a graduate of PDI (Professional Development Institute) Class of 2016.
