Her responsibilities include serving as the tutor/academic coach coordinator and the student-athlete development (CHAMPS Life Skills) coordinator, being the SAAC liaison and overseeing SAAC and student-athlete affairs.
Stewart will work with student-athletes in all sports; providing a schedule of structured high-quality tutor and academic coaching sessions, reporting on student progress and challenges throughout each semester. She will also teach the freshman seminar course.
Stewart is the all-time record holder in the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles at North Texas. She earned all-conference honors six times in the 4x400-meter relay (twice), 400-meter hurdles (twice), 100-meter hurdles, and 4x100-meter relay.
She is a four-time conference champion, including twice in the 400-meter hurdles, and qualified for NCAA Track & Field Championships twice in the 400-meter hurdles and 100-meter hurdles.
During her time as a student at North Texas, Stewart was an academic coach and tutor for other student-athletes for three years. She also was an academic support co-coordinator, overseeing study hall and being a liaison between the academic coordinator and the tutors and academic coaches.
She received her bachelor’s degree in strategic management for North Texas in May of 2015 and is currently working on her master’s degree in business administration.
