Auralie Ruggiere begins her first year with the North Texas athletics department as a learning specialist for student-athlete services.
Prior to North Texas, Ruggiere was an elementary education teacher and then became a certified dyslexia therapist at Lake Dallas ISD. During her eight-year tenure at Lake Dallas, she prepared lesson plans in a variety of subjects, taught students with a variety of learning levels and monitored progress of students. She also trained all staff and parents on dyslexia information and 504 compliances.
Prior to the education field, she worked in corporate training for over 15 years. She was a training manager for Deloitte & Touche, as well as an independent training development consultant. She consulted with companies such as, Alcatel, Fedex/Kinkos, and Chase Bank. She has also worked on training projects with companies such as Bell South and London Fog while working at EDS.
Auralie and her husband Paul are both UNT alumni. They have a son, Aaron who attends UNT, and a daughter, Anna, who is in high school.
Ruggiere received her bachelor’s degree in psychology/business and her master’s degree in corporate training and development at North Texas.
