Banned Substance List
|Academic Eligibility||Amateurism||National Letter of Intent||Banned Substance List||Recruiting||Admissions Checklist||Transfer Guidelines|
The NCAA publishes a list of banned substances each year that is available at: ncaa.org. There is no complete list of banned substances, so be sure to check with the athletic training staff if you have any questions. You are 100 percent responsible for what you put into your body.
Please be extremely cautious when considering nutritional supplements. A lot of these supplements are not closely regulated by the FDA and may contain substances that have been banned by the NCAA. It is your responsibility to know what's in the supplements you are taking. Claiming that you were unaware that a product you were taking contained a banned substance is NEVER an excuse!
The 8 major banned drug classes are: stimulants; anabolic agents; alcohol and beta blockers (banned for rifle only); diuretics; street drugs; peptide hormones and analogues; anti-estrogens; and beta-2 agonists.
