LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (10/13/09) - Despite shooting six
strokes better than they did on day one, the North Texas women's golf team
remains in 14th place after two rounds of the Price's Give "Em Five"
Intercollegiate. The Mean Green combined to shoot a 304 on Tuesday and now sit
31 shots off the pace set by first place University of Idaho.
Both senior Jordan Rose and sophomore Addison Long
bounced back from day one scores of 78 and 80 respectively, to shoot 73 on
Tuesday. Rose connected on six birdies on the second day en route to the best
round of her career at North Texas.
As a team North Texas finished with 19 birdies, 10th
best on Tuesday.
One day after firing a 75, sophomore Kelsey Kipp
responded with a 76. She was followed by senior's Janna Golden (82) and Maggie
Noel (82).
The final round of the Price's Give "Em Five"
Intercollegiate will get underway Wednesday with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
