Golf Team Sits In 7th Place After Two Rounds At FIU Pat Bradley Invite

FORT MYERS, Florida (10/26/09) - The North Texas women's golf team is tied for seventh place after completing two rounds of play Monday afternoon at the 32nd Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational. The Mean Green is tied with Daytona State College with a 595 (+19), 17 shots behind tournament-leading Furman University.

As a team North Texas had a better second round (295) than first (300), which was actually their second best round of the season.

Senior Jordan Rose led the way again for the Mean Green with a 146 (+2) and stands tied for 15th individually after the first two rounds. Janna Golden (20th - 148), Maggie Noel (36th - 151), Kelsey Kipp (43rd - 152) and Addison Long (54th - 155) finished in that order behind Rose.

Shena Young of FIU is in first place individually by shooting a 136 (-8).

The third and final round of the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational will get underway at 9:30 a.m. (CT) with a shotgun start. Results will be posted to MeanGreenSports.com as they become available.
