Mean Green Softball Hosts University Classic This Weekend

DENTON, Texas (10/1/09) - The North Texas softball team is hosting the fourth annual University Classic this weekend at Lovelace Stadium and Pioneer Field at TWU.

The 10-team tournament will be played over two days (October 3rd and 4th) at Lovelace Stadium and Pioneer Field. Lovelace Stadium is the Mean Green softball team's home field and is located on campus on Bonnie Brae at the Mean Green Village. Pioneer Field is TWU's home stadium and is located on the TWU campus off Administrative Drive.

This is the Mean Green's second tournament of the fall. Last weekend, North Texas won both of its games. This weekend, NT plays TWU on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 5:30 p.m. at Pioneer Field. On Sunday, the Mean Green faces Seminole State College at 5 p.m. at Lovelace Stadium.

All Tournament: Adult $15, Child $10

Day Pass: Adult $10, Youth $7

Concessions will be available at Lovelace Stadium. No outside food or drink.
