DENTON, Texas (1/20/10) -- North Texas sophomore diver Delia Covo was named the Sun Belt Conference's Diver of the Week Wednesday afternoon for her effort in a dual win at TCU.
Covo collected two second place finishes in the meet, totaling eight of the Mean Green's 155.5 points. The 1-meter board saw Covo set a new career high, totaling 242.03 in six dives. Less than a week after setting a new school record on the 3-meter diving board at Arkansas, the sophomore fell a little over three points short of re-breaking the record with a total of 255.30 on six dives. North Texas will be back in action on Friday at 6:30m p.m., against Houston and Saturday at 11 a.m. when the Mean Green will square off with Rice on senior day. |
