DENTON, Texas (11/6/09) -- North Texas Swimming & Diving heads to Dallas, Texas to take on national powerhouse SMU Friday evening.

The Mean Green and the Mustangs have met once this year already at the North Texas Relays where SMU took first place over Texas Christian, North Texas, Tulane and Incarnate Word.

North Texas is searching for its first dual win over Southern Methodist.  The Mean Green are 0-8 all-time against the Mustangs and are coming off of a 225-75 loss to the Mustangs last November.

The Mean Green is trying to rebound from a tough trip to Denver, Colo., where they dropped both decisions in a double-dual to Denver and Utah.

The team has a quick turnaround after the dual tonight, as they head to Sherman, Texas Saturday morning to take on Austin College and Southwestern in a double-dual.

Head diving coach Jim Pyrch will face off for the first time in his career with his wife, Krissa Pyrch, who is the diving coach for Austin College.
