DENTON, Texas (10/14/09) - Practice is still hours away, and the Mean Green men's basketball team is already getting heaps of praise tossed its way.

Head to any magazine rack or website and the Mean Green is the consensus favorite to win the Sun Belt West Division. As a matter of fact, ESPN.com's Collge Basketball Blue Ribbon Preview came out today, and they think the Mean Green has great shot at another NCAA Tournament in 2009-10.

The "Bible of College Basketball" gives the Mean Green an "A" in backcourt, frontcourt, intangibles, as well as an "A+" in depth.

North Texas returns all five starters to a squad that was on the cusp of the Sun Belt title game, and has won at least 20-games in each of the last three seasons. Eric Tramiel took the league by storm in en route to All-Sun Belt recognition last year, and Josh White finished second in the nation in free throw percentage and earned SBC All-Tournament honors.

The Mean Green tips off the 2009-10 season on Nov. 13 against Cameron. Tip off from the Super Pit is slated for 7 p.m.
