The North Texas basketball seasons tip off in a month, but practice is in session starting Friday night at 5 p.m. Steven Bartolotta and I will be chatting Mean Green hoops right here for the first week of practice. Friday night's festivities start with Johnny Jones and the men practicing at the Super Pit at 5 p.m. Jones & Co., are coming off three straight 20-win seasons, and are favored by most folks to win the Sun Belt West Division. Just take a look at the five returning starters and a potent incoming class, and you'll probably agree. Shanice Stephens and the Mean Green women take the floor at 7:30, with a host of incoming talent. The second-year head coach laid the foundation of her program last season, and feels that she now has the players to pounce on the Sun Belt. Both practices are open to the public, but be sure to jump on the chat if you can't make it out. We'll be answering your questions and providing practice updates and info starting Friday night, and then on Monday through the following Friday.
