JONESBORO, Ark. (11/13/09) - The Mean Green volleyball team dominated set three, but couldn't complete the comeback effort in a 3-1 loss at Arkansas State (25-11, 25-22, 14-25, 25-17).

Amy Huddleston notched yet another double-double and led the North Texas (11-19, 7-9 Sun Belt) attack with 11 kills and 10 digs. The Mean Green limited the Red Wolves (21-10, 11-6 Sun Belt) to .176 hitting, but never could manage to get its attack started. NT hit .321 in its third set win, but could only muster .014 overall - the squads second lowest of the year.

Kayla Saey posted a career-best 16 kills to go with her 17 assists on the night. The sophomore led three players in double-figure digs, including Huddleston and Sarah Willey (11 digs).

The Red Wolves kept NT off balance offensively with a potent defensive wall that sent back 18 Mean Green attacks. Four ASU players had at least four blocks in the match.

North Texas returns to action on Saturday at UALR with the No. 7 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on the line.
