PLANO, Texas- The Mean Green Club Coaches Caravan continued Tuesday night at Park Place Lexus as head coaches Tony Benford, Sujay Lama, Mike Petersen and Dan McCarney talked about their programs, and the historic move to C-USA.
This stop reached out to Plano-area alumni, fans and donors as the coaches tour the Metroplex to talk about the upcoming season and the move to C-USA. Dan McCarney opened the event with his trademark energy and humor, and was followed up by head tennis coach Sujay Lama who recapped his Sun Belt Title-winning campaign in 2012. Mike Petersen continued the event with his trademark humor and basketball philosophy, while head men's basketball coach Tony Benford called the attendees into a circle, like his team meetings, to close the event. The final caravan stop in Fort Worth features family-friendly activities with special guests including Scrappy, and members of the cheer and dance teams. The event is FREE and open to the public. Food and non-alcoholic drinks are provided, and a cash bar is available.
