2012: Was the leading rusher for North Texas last season with 875 yards…..Byrd had a season and career-high 85 yard touchdown run against South Alabama, which is tied for the fifth longest run in school history….Notched three 100-yard rushing games and had two in the final three games of the year…..Rushed for 109 yards against South Alabama and had 134 all-purpose yards….Had 102 yards against WKU, including a 61-yard touchdown run….Made 18 receptions on the year …..Ran for 87 yards against MTSU on 18 carries.....Had 88 yards in the win over Louisiana-Lafayette on 22 carries....Rushed for 96 yards against Houston on 19 carries. Rushed for 21 yards in the win over FAU and had 56 yards rushing against Troy....Byrd ran for 61 yards against Kansas State and had a career-high four receptions for 23 yards....Recorded his first career 100-yard rushing game with 106 yards against Texas Southern....Carried a career-high 23 times against the Tigers and had a career best two touchdown runs....rushed for 40 yards on 12 carries against No. 1 LSU in the season opener.

2011: Finished the season with 83 yards rushing on 20 attempts and a touchdown … Compiled 44 all-purpose yards against Alabama … Rushed for 46 yards on 8 carries against FIU along with a 16-yard reception.

2010: Played in all 12 games, including a start at FIU … Carried the ball 34 times for 169 yards (5.0 avg) and one touchdown … Rushed for 39 yards against FIU … Caught his only pass of the season for a six-yard gain against the Golden Panthers … Gained 83 yards on the ground, which included a 53-yard touchdown scamper, at Western Kentucky.

High School/Personal: Named to the 2009 District 5A-12 Second Team … Selected to the Killeen Daily Herald’s 2009 All Area Second Team offense … Ran for 980 yards on 125 attempts and 12 TDs as a senior … Rushed for 1,061 yards on 167 carries and 10 TDs in 2008 … Totaled 2,379 yards rushing on 353 carries and 27 TDs throughout high school … Is a two-star athlete according to Rivals.com … Is the son of Harry and Twanda Byrd … Born June 1, 1992.
