Tony Mitchell had two more shot blocks Saturday, giving him 68 for the year, two shy of his own single-season record of 70 set a year ago.
Saturday's victory snapped a five-game North Texas losing streak, the Mean Green's longest since an eight-game drought in 2002-03.
Freshman point guard P.J. Hardwick had nine points Saturday, his best-scoring night in the last seven games and the second most in his young career.
