SHREVEPORT, La. (10/16/10) - North Texas cross country brought home a pair of second place team finishes Saturday from the Centenary Cross Country Invitational Saturday morning.
The Mean Green took both first and second place in the men's and women's races. Senior Patrick Strong took first place overall on the men's side in 25:02.00 with Matt Russ following him in second place with a time of 25:21.00.
On the women's side, senior Ingrid Mollenkopf brought home the overall championship in 22:10.00 with Sara Dietz on her heels in second place.
Adrian Nevarez took fifth for the men in 26:08 while Sallie Anderson matched his effort on the women's side also taking fifth in 24:03 seconds.
North Texas will be back in action Oct. 30 in Bowling Green, Ky., for the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
