Courtesy: Rick YeattsARLINGTON, Texas (9/11/10) - Cross country senior Patrick Strong took second overall at the UTA Season Opener on Saturday morning.
Strong, who started off the season with a sixth place finish at the Baylor twilight run last week, finished less than three seconds off the first place finisher with a time of 20:19.82.
The North Texas men finished fifth overall with 122 points.
Ingrid Mollenkompf was the highest finisher on the women's side, taking 11th place in 11:43.42. The women also finished fifth overall with 144 points.
Mean Green cross country will return home for the Ken Garland Invitational September 25.
