DENTON, Texas (3/22/13) – The No. 73 nationally ranked North Texas tennis team returns to Denton to host No. 61 ranked Columbia at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
North Texas (10-4, 4-0) is coming off a sweep of Sun Belt Conference opponents ULM, 5-2, and Louisiana-Lafayette, 4-0. The Mean Green move to 4-0 in the conference with just three conference matches left.
The Lions (7-3) is spending its spring break touring DFW metroplex schools. Columbia defeated UTA, 4-2, on Monday, March 18, then fell to SMU, 4-3, on Thursday, March 22, before making the trip to Denton.
The Mean Green will host Friends of North Texas Tennis and Alumni Day on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. There will be a tennis mixer from 9 to 11 a.m. with a free lunch following at 11:30 a.m. Friends of North Texas Tennis and Alumni Day is open to the public and if you would like to participate please RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org.
