Mundy And Ralston Pace North Texas

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Freshman Georgina Mundy and sophomore McKenzie Ralston lead the way for the North Texas women's golf team after the opening round of the Alamo Invitational. Mundy and Ralston both fired rounds of 3-over par 75 and are tied for 39th place after the first 18 holes.

Mundy had three birdies in her round and was even-par after 12 holes. Her last six holes were adventurous with three bogeys, a double bogey, but two birdies. Ralston was steadier than Mundy on the day with one birdie, 13 pars and four bogeys.

Chaslyn Chrismer fired an opening round of 80 with two birdies as she is tied for 65th place. Taylor Kilponen shot a first round of 81 while Brooke Bailey had an 84.

North Texas as a team is in 15th place after the first day after shooting an opening round of 311. No. 9 Oklahoma has a commanding lead after the first round at 9-under par as they have a seven stroke lead.
