LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Senior Jacey Chun fired an even-par round of 72 as the North Texas women's golf team remained in fourth place after the second round of the Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate.Chun climbed into the top 10 as she is tied for ninth place while the Mean Green fired a second round of 294 and have a score of 587.
"It was nice to see Jacey post a 72 today," said coach Jeff Mitchell. "She hasn't been feeling well, but she fought through it and continues to play very good golf. As a team, I am happy with our effort, but we didn't hit it as well as we usually do. Hopefully, tomorrow we can put a red number on the board. Shooting under par would help us for this event and for our confidence going forward."
Chun is 1-over par for the tournament at 145 and five shots off the lead heading into the final round. North Texas is 13 strokes behind the clubhouse leader Baylor heading into the final round. A trio of players for the Mean Green fired rounds of 2-over par 74.
