Bowling Green, Ky. (3/23/13) - The North Texas softball team begins the first of its two road conference series today when it plays WKU on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. The Mean Green plays a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday at 12 p.m. North Texas improved to 15-12 with a non-conference win against Oklahoma State. The Mean Green is 3-2 in conference play. North Texas won the series last year against WKU at home. The Mean Green swept the doubleheader and then the two teams tied the final game, 6-6. The tie was the first in school history. WKU is 16-9 overall and 5-1 in the Sun Belt. The Hilltoppers lead the overall series, 18-15-1.
