DENTON, Texas (12/7/12) - Five North Texas softball
student-athletes were honored Thursday for their work inside the classroom.
Junior pitchers Ashley Kirk and Lauren Poole, sophomore pitcher Madison Thompson and graduated players Megan Rupp and Jessica Shields were all named All-America Scholar Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The award is bestowed upon any player submitted by a member coach who achieved a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2011-12 academic year. |
