DENTON, Texas - North Texas track & field heads to the Michael Johnson Dr. Pepper Classic in Waco, Texas on Saturday on the campus of Baylor University.
Junior Steven White leads the way for the men after his third straight Sun Belt Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at the John Jacobs Invitational.
White currently sits at No. 4 in the NCAA in the 400-meter hurdles and is in the top-25 in the NCAA West region in the 200-meter dash.
The women's side features the three of the top four pole vaulters in the conference in Sarah Vann, Jessica McNew and Sarah Korn. The trio sit first, second and fourth in the SBC respectively and are looking to improve upon their already career-high marks.
Janesa Moore takes the sprinters into action with the No. 3 mark in the 100-meter dash, sixth in 200 and is a member of both the 4x100 meter and 4x400-meter relay teams that sit second in the SBC.
Field action begins at 9:30 am with the javelin, with running starting at noon. Admission is $5 at the Hart-Patterson Track Complex.
