AUSTIN, Texas- North Texas completed day 2 of the Texas Invite at the University of Texas on Friday. Rosa Gentile broke her ownn North Texas record for the 100-yard backstroke on the day.

Rosa Gentile came within .13 of setting the North Texas record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.20. She finished 16th in the event. Gentile previously set the record on Feb. 19, 2010. Her performance ranks as the third-best 100 yard backstroke time in school history, behind two of her other efforts.

North Texas finished the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:45.05, a school season-best. The 'A' relay of Stephanie Bernier, Rosita Bado, Rosa Gentile and Seabre Pope finished ninth.

Dawn Richerson led all North Texas swimmers with a team season-best 1:52.81 in the 200-yard freestyle.

Rosita Bado posted a Mean Green-season best time of 1:06.31 in the 100-yard breaststroke.

North Texas finishes the Texas Invite tomorrow, December 4th.
