Last Train To Hot Springs
This week is the final appearance for the Mean Green men and women at the Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championships, which take place March 8-11 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Before joining Conference USA this July, North Texas will vie one more time for the Sun Belt's automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament. First-round and quarterfinal games will take place at Summit Arena and Hot Springs Convention Center, and semifinals and finals will be played at Summit Arena. The complete tournament brackets are shown below and will be updated through the tournament.

Sun Belt Tournament Student Shuttle
The Athletic Department is preparing a bus to take students to the tournament. If enough students are interested, the bus will leave six hours before the start of each game and will return to Denton immediately following the final Mean Green game of the day. UNT Students receive FREE admission to all tournament games in Hot Springs. If you're interested in riding the bus to Hot Springs, click here and fill out the questionnaire.
Tickets and Accommodations
The North Texas Athletic Ticket Office offers a tournament package which includes tickets to every tournament game and seating behind the team bench during North Texas games is $90 and are on sale now. For the best pricing, reserved seating, and single-game tickets, purchase your tickets through the North Texas Athletic Ticket Office online or by calling 940-565-2527 or 1-800-UNT-2366.
Accommodations are going fast. To reserve a room for the Sun Belt Tournament, call David Fast of Fast Travel Times at 817-907-4229. Information regarding alternate accommodations is available online through HotSprings.org.

Hot Hoops In Hot Springs Headquarters
Mean Green Nation pre- & post-game gatherings will take place at Lucky's Bar & Grill, with specials including Mean Green Margaritas and Green Pride Beer. North Texas basketball coaches Mike Petersen and Tony Benford will do their pre-tournament radio shows live from Lucky's beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7. Lucky's Bar & Grill is located at 711 Central Avenue in Hot Springs.

Radio and Television
All of the North Texas men's and women's games will be carried on radio by KNTU 88.1 FM, and the men's games are also broadcast on KHYI 95.3 FM. The women's championship game will be televised on ESPNU and the men's title game will be shown on ESPN (the game was originally slated for ESPN2).
