BLANCO, Texas - The North Texas women's golf team shot up the leaderboard on the final day of play at the Jim West Challenge and finished in third place. Powered by McKenzie Ralston, Chaslyn Chrismer, and Georgina Mundy the Mean Green climbed seven spots from 10th place to third by shooting the third lowest round on the day at 315.
The trio all had season-best finishes for the year and Ralston had a career-best finish. No team made a bigger move on the day than North Texas after starting the final round in 10th place. The third place finish is the best of the season for the Mean Green.

North Texas finished in front of the other three Sun Belt Conference teams in the field. Battling a fierce wind on the day, Ralston shot a final round of 2-over par 74.

Ralston was 4-over par but closed out at 2-under in the final five holes on the day. Chrismer and Mundy both shot third rounds of 79 and moved up to 15th and 20th respectively. Both players had three birdies on the day.

Keegan Moore and finished tied for 50th place while Taylor Kilponen tied for 57th place after final rounds of 83 and 85.

The Mean Green is back in action on February 25-26 at the Islander Spring Classic.
