SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Junior Chaslyn Chrismer got things rolling for the North Texas women's golf team as she fired a season-low round at the final day of the Alamo Invitational. Chrismer shot a 2-under par 70, which is the second lowest round of her career and her lowest round since the 2010-11 season. Chrismer had four birdies on the day with only two bogeys. For the event she moved into a tie for 47th place at 11-over par. The score of 70 is tied for the lowest by a North Texas golfer in the fall season. Georgina Mundy struggled in her final round with an 83 while Taylor Kilponen shot an 81. Brooke Bailey battled back after starting 10-over par through 10 holes to post three birdies on the finishing holes to shoot an 80 for the day. North Texas as a team shot a team-low round of 305, which ties for the second lowest round of the fall season. The Mean Green finished in 15th place while No. 9 Oklahoma won the team title. The tournament is final competition for North Texas in the fall as the Mean Green start the spring season on February 17-18 at the Jim West Challenge. |
