North Texas (10-17, 9-9) at South Alabama (14-12, 7-10)
The Series North Texas collides with USA for the first time since a Jan. 12, 20-point drubbing by the Mean Green. Despite the win, South Alabama has won two of the last three and five of the last eight against NT. Also, North Texas hasn’t won in Mobile since 2006. Coming Out Of Hyding Freshman Alexis Hyder gained her seventh double-double on the season against the Owls. With it, she now sits two behind Jasmine Godbolt’s freshman record of nine double-doubles in a season, a mark she set in 2009-10. Following In Her Footsteps The Mean Green enters its game in Mobile, Ala, as the second best team in the conference in steals per game (10.6) and 3-point shooting percentage (.320). Freshman Loryn Goodwin is first in the conference in steals per game as well as 23rd nationally. She is also third in the SBC in 3-point fg percentage, firing 38.9 percent from deep. Of players in the conference that have shot a minimum 70 attempts from beyond the arc, Goodwin is first, having hit 63 of 162 long balls on the year.
