Erin Floyd enters her first year (2011-12) as Director of Operations for North Texas Women's Basketball. Floyd comes to North Texas after having served as a player and student assistant coach for current North Texas head coach Karen Aston at Charlotte. As a student assistant coach under Aston, she helped Charlotte earn a trip to the 2011 WNIT Semifinals, which included tournament wins over South Carolina, Florida and Virginia. The 49ers finished with a 27-10 record and a third place finish in the Atlantic Ten during the 2010-11 campaign. As a player, Floyd was a three-year starter for the 49ers, and retired as the co-leader for career games played for Charlotte. Charlotte made the postseason each of her four seasons as a player, averaging over eight points in each of her last three seasons. Floyd won the Golden Nugget Award after 2007-08 and 2009-10, given to the Charlotte player that exhibits the most dedication and determination. |
