UPDATE (3/29 9:50 a.m.) - Friday's Reece's College All-Star Game will be shown on TruTV starting at 4:30 p.m.

DENTON, Texas - North Texas senior guard Tristan Thompson will represent the Mean Green at the Reece's College All-Star Game as a part of the Final Four festivities at Reliant Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The game features 20 of the nation's best Division I senior college basketball players competing on the NCAA Final Four floor in an East vs. West format. Tipoff is slated for 4:35 p.m., and admission is free.

Thompson, a First-Team All-Sun Belt selection, led the league in scoring with 18.0 points per game and established a new Sun Belt Tournament scoring record with 95 total points. Thompson hails from Angleton, Texas, which is an hour drive from Houston.

He recorded a 20-of-20 free throw performance in the SBC quarterfinals against Florida Atlantic, which makes him just the ninth player in NCAA history to accomplish that feat. With 211 free throws in 2011, Thompson broke the Sun Belt's single season free throw record held by Cedric Maxwell of Charlotte since 1976-77.

A potent scorer, Thompson ranks fifth in North Texas history in with 1,629 career points, and finished his career tied with Josh White as the winningest players in school history with 86 victories.
