Atterberry And Chancellor On CFPA Watch List

DENTON, Texas - Wide Receiver Brelan Chancellor and punter Will Atterberry have both been named to the 2012 College Football Performance Award Special Teams Watch List.

Chancellor, the all-time leader in school history in kickoff return yards, is on the 2012 CFPA Kickoff Return Watch List. Atterberry, a Ray Guy Award Candidate last season, is on the 2012 CFPA Punter Watch List.

Both players were all-conference performers last season with Atterberry being named first-team All-Sun Belt while Chancellor was an honorable mention all-conference player.

Atterberry led the Sun Belt Conference in punting at 43.5 yards a kick in 2011. He had 16 punts of over 50-yards and 26 punts that were inside the 20-yard line, which ranked eighth in the nation.

Chancellor broke the school record last season with 1,094 kickoff return yards. He owns the school record with 2,017 career kickoff return yards. Chancellor has two kickoff returns for touchdowns in his career.
