As the wind blows through Denton at speeds in excess of 35 mph the workers endure the conditions.  Our field reporter has been blown over with work, but we are happy to report that a lot has been accomplished since our last article.

Yesterday at 5 a.m. (yes, they are working that early, but not me) structural crews poured the first portion of slab-on-grade for the project.  What does that mean you ask?

It means that the first part of concrete floor has been poured.  Soon this floor will be covered with elevated forms to makeup the concrete deck which will be the west concourse.  These concrete pads will be constructed in phases as other workers complete their tasks.  In some of today's photo album you will be able to see the area that was just poured.

You will also be able to see another wall that has a concrete pump truck pumping concrete into a wall.  The west concourse of the stadium continues to develop by the minute.  Plumbers and electrical contractors are installing the infrastructure necessary to operate the facility.

Pier drilling has been completed on the north concourse and workers are now focused on drilling the northeast area of the stadium. This goes without saying, but stay tuned to MeanGreenSports.com for the latest developments with the new stadium.  Things will continue to change rapidly.
